Updog

Updog is a project that I worked on with the same team I was part of for FourCast.  The idea for the game came from one of our teammates who wanted to create a game based around growing items on a tree, with a goal to go to space.  Players can combine the items they start out with freely to experiment with item combination, the game's primary mechanic, and create new items to give back to the tree and expand the combination web.

The game is being programmed in HaxeFlixel using Sublime3, and our art assets once again have been created in Photoshop.  For myself and one of the other programmers, HaxeFlixel was not a language that was very familiar to us, and so programming the game has been an interesting learning experience for the team.  Most of our challenges seem to come from trying to figure out exactly what the syntax or methods are to perform the actions we need for certain features.
